Our Services

At NJA we endeavour to provide a personal service to candidates seeking a career move that is friendly, effective and efficient, and provides you with the most appropriate career opportunities.

We recognise that candidates, when assessing permanent opportunities, must look at long term prospects for career development and personal growth and not only at the content of the initial role.

Since 1986, we at NJA have built our services around these principles in the belief that we can offer a friendly, helpful and professional solution to the minefield that is the career move.

Client Types

There are broadly three groups of clients, which offer different career opportunities and require different skills and attributes.

End User Companies

These are end user sites in our local area – Cheshire, North Wales and Shropshire - which offer a wide range of opportunities from key roles at smaller sites where you work very closely with the business, to exciting and challenging specialised roles within large IT departments. Opportunities in this sector can range from IT management to graduate trainee level.

Suppliers and Software Houses

These offer a wide range of opportunities from technical design and development to sales and support. They often require a degree of mobility within a region and always need candidates who are customer facing and comfortable dealing with their clients.

IT and Management Consultancies

This group incorporates the major international management consultancies and large systems integrators and outsourcing companies. Opportunities range from very senior consultancy roles to more technically orientated roles. These roles offer challenging and stimulating assignments and are very well rewarded. They do however require very high-level technical and interpersonal skills as well as flexibility, adaptability and mobility, often involving weekly commuting to client sites.

DOs AND DON'Ts

What we will DO for you as a candidate and some of the things we will NOT DO.

WE DO

• Speak with you, either on the telephone or face to face, to learn about your skills, experience and aspirations, and to understand your requirements.
• Keep you informed at all stages of the recruitment process.
• Offer CV preparation advice and career counselling.
• Ask your permission before sending your CV to any of our clients.
• Brief you thoroughly about the client and the vacancy, providing job descriptions, company brochures etc.
• Prepare you for your interview with coaching on interview techniques.
• Carefully match your requirements to vacancies to ensure we contact you only about those which match your experience and requirements.
• Aim to be friendly, helpful and professional at all times.
• Submit your original CV, edited as appropriate, to clients together with a report highlighting your experience and requirements.

WE DON'T

• Submit your CV to Clients without first discussing the opportunity with you and asking your permission to approach the company on your behalf.
• Pressurise you into accepting an interview or an offer of a position, which would not be in your best interests.
• Charge you for our services.
• Promise more than we can deliver.
